Last week saw another EXE-TC-equipped Porsche take victory in Europe. Enrique Cruz and Mújica Yeray piloted the Copi Sport Porsche 997 Cup car, on to victory at the Rally Islas Canarias, the opening round of the Canary Islands championship.
The event was also part of the European Rally Championship - and in the early stages, the pair where top of the overall standings, and took the outright win on stage two.
By the end of the rally, they placed higher than many of the ERC field (mostly comprised of R5 cars), finishing 11th overall, and the top placed 2WD car.
This impressive performance once again shows the effectiveness of the Porsche platform of tarmac – especially when on the open tarmac roads found in this rally.
Many congratulations to Enrique and the team at Copi Sport for the fantastic victory. The next round of the championship is the Rally Villa de Adeje next weekend.
